As a freelance Data Platform Engineer, you’ll help shape a next-generation Azure data ecosystem that powers real-time insights and innovation.

As a Data Platform Engineer, you’ll join our strong LACO team at one of our clients in the banking sector . You’ll help design, optimize, and enhance an enterprise-scale Azure Data Platform that supports critical business data flows and analytics needs.

Supporting the re-design, optimization, and enhancement of a robust Azure Data Platform solution.

Collaborating with cross-functional Agile (Scrum) teams to deliver scalable and high-quality data structures.

Implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate deployment and testing of data solutions.

Setting up and managing fine-grained access controls for sensitive data.

Contributing to the team’s Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices — experience with Bicep is a strong plus.

You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

You have proven experience with Azure Data Platform components, such as Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, and Data Lake.

You have hands-on experience with Spark and are familiar with performance optimization techniques.

You understand and can implement access management and data governance best practices.

You are a team player, comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

You are fluent in English ; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
