MRI Technologist – Ohio State University Health System Shift Details: Schedule: Friday–Sunday (Block Schedule) Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Weekend Nights) Overview: Seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with strong skills in neuro, abdominal, and musculoskeletal imaging to join our team. This role supports both inpatient and outpatient imaging, primarily focused on oncology, stroke, and trauma cases. Candidates must be proficient with Siemens MRI systems and comfortable in a high-volume, teaching hospital environment. Department Information: Average Daily Volume: 35–40 scans per day Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Facility Type: Level I Trauma and Teaching Hospital EMR System: Epic Required Experience & Certifications: Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience ARRT (R) certification BLS certification Valid Ohio State License Core Skills: Experience in Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, and Pediatric Acute Care settings Proficient in MRI procedures including: Abdomen, Pelvis (male/female), Chest, Brain, Face/Neck Spine (Cervical, Lumbar, Thoracic), Hip, Knee, Shoulder Familiarity with PACS and Siemens MRI systems Special Imaging Techniques: Fusion (non-brain) Gradient Echo Imaging Perfusion and Spectroscopy Multiplanar Reconstruction (MRP) Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) Spin Echo, T1 & T2 Weighted Imaging Image Post-Processing (ADC mapping, subtraction) Additional Details: Must be comfortable operating Siemens MRI scanners Weekend rotation required (40-hour weekly schedule) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required Two professional references required (one supervisory) Compliance and fingerprinting must be completed prior to start (strict Tuesday deadline) Local candidates accepted at same rate Former employees eligible after 6-month separation
