Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Sonographer with at least 1 year of recent specialty experience and required ARDMS certification for a variable shift assignment.
Responsibilities
Work in an ultrasound department serving a Level II Trauma Center and possible outpatient imaging center rotation
Caseload and patient types are discussed during the interview
Adult experience required; pediatric experience preferred
May float between main hospital and outpatient imaging center as needed
40 hours per week with variable shifts
Uses Cerner EMR system
Orientation details and specific job duties will be discussed during the manager interview
Support includes lead tech and physician coverage
Scrub attire may be any solid color as long as professional, or scrubs can be provided
RTO is subject to manager approval
Flu vaccination required for clearance; only medical exemptions considered, with a 2-week review period
Candidates must live at least 100 miles south or southwest of the facility and may not have previously worked at a Northern Light Health hospital in a permanent capacity
Applicants with a scheduled flu vaccine appointment should disclose this information

First-time travelers will be considered if minimum experience is met
Requirements
Current ARDMS certification in either AB or OB required; both are preferred
BLS certification required
Minimum of 1 year sonography experience in acute care required; 2 years preferred
Experience with adult patients required, pediatric experience preferred
Must hold a Maine or compact state license; license required if applicable
