Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience and required ARRT, Fluoro Permit, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in an acute care hospital cath lab
Perform procedures related to coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias including coronary and peripheral diagnostic and intervention, and permanent pacemakers
Daily caseload ranges from 8 to 12 cases
Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
No weekend shifts required
Call is required as part of the job responsibilities
No floating within the hospital, but may be required to float to affiliate hospitals nearby
EMR used is Epic, and Epic experience is required
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Travelers may be expected to float between the main facility and nearby affiliated facilities as needed
Orientation includes 30 hours
Scrubs are provided for OR and Cath Lab staff
Holiday coverage for 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) is required
Return staff must be separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
Local candidates are accepted at a lower rate with a 50-mile local radius rule in effect
RTO must be approved at time of consideration
Candidates will have access to facility resources for housing assistance if needed
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of recent cath lab experience required
Current ARRT certification is required; RCIS not accepted
Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
Valid CA Fluoro Permit required, pending permit will be considered if already applied for
Must provide at least 2 supervisory references within the past 3 years in a comparable specialty
Must be able to work with adult patient populations
License required if applicable
