Job Summary:

The CNA Float Pool role involves providing direct patient care and support across various medical floors as needed. This position focuses on assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient conditions, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Key Details:

Certifications Required: BLS

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience; prior travel experience required

Common Patient Types: Dementia, pneumonia

Unit Size: 25 beds

Charting System: Epic

Scheduling: 12-hour evening shifts, every other weekend, flexible block scheduling when possible

Floating: Required (first to float)

Dress Code: Scrubs, no specific color requirement

Radius Rule: Must live at least 50 miles away and cannot be currently employed (FT, PT, PRN) with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility

RTO Policy: Maximum 7 days per 13-week contract; additional time off not approved

Cancellation Policy: Up to 4 shifts per contract (3 if contract is under 13 weeks)
