Ohio Nursing Job Details
Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) – Explore Ohio nursing jobs in a dynamic city with excellent amenities.
Employment Type: Travel RN (locum tenens)
Unit: Bone Marrow Transplant (14 East, West, and 15 West)
Setting: Mixed acuity PCU and Medical-Surgical Oncology
Shifts: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day: 7:00am–7:30pm; Night: 7:00pm–7:30am); 36 hours/week
Duration: 13-week contract (Start: 11/3/2025; End: 2/2/2026)
Schedule: Facility-determined; flexibility required (may include weekends and rotating shifts)
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2160 - $2210
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Oncology RN experience
Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio RN license required at time of submission)
Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification
Epic charting system experience
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership)
Travel RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing bone marrow transplants and oncology treatments
Manage patients with diagnoses including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, and myelodysplastic syndromes
Administer chemotherapy and blood products; monitor for adverse reactions
Perform central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and feeding tube care
Interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias; respond to rapid response situations
Support infection prevention protocols and fall prevention initiatives
Float to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
Utilize specialized equipment such as GE telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds
