Residential Construction Estimator

Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Residential Construction Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping successful residential projects by preparing precise and competitive cost estimates. Job Description

Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate cost estimates.

Prepare material take-offs, labor estimates and subcontractor/vendor pricing.

Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers and subcontractors to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.

Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.

Develop and maintain cost databases, unit pricing and budgets to management and clients.

Track project costs and provide timely updates during bidding and construction phases.

Stay current with industry trends, building codes, and best practices.

Qualifications:

3+ years of estimating experience in residential construction .

Strong knowledge of residential building systems, materials, and methods.

Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.

Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.

A sharp eye for detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (preferred but not required)Company Description
