A leading professional services firm is seeking a Head of Technology to join its IT Directorate. This senior leadership role reports directly to the IT Director and is pivotal in shaping and delivering technology solutions that support global operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Planning
Lead strategic technology decisions aligned with business goals and values.
Develop and maintain a change roadmap that supports innovation and operational excellence.
Oversee an active IT R&D program to stay ahead of emerging technologies.
Monitor and communicate tech trends within the legal or similar sectors.
Contribute to IT budget planning and resource allocation.
Champion the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), leading initiatives to build internal AI capabilities.
Delivery
Advise business leaders on leveraging technology for measurable outcomes.
Ensure technical solutions meet governance and compliance standards.
Promote agile development practices, including MVP and UX principles.
Manage third-party suppliers and deliver micro-solutions based on business needs.
Oversee rigorous testing and enhancement of new solutions.
Team Leadership
Lead a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, learning, and customer excellence.
Implement HR processes including performance reviews and personal development plans.
Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and resolving issues.
Act as a bridge between IT and business units, sharing insights and managing support requests.
Collaborate with suppliers and industry experts to identify opportunities for innovation.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years in a senior IT leadership role within a mid-to-large organisation.
Proven track record in strategic planning, project delivery, and team management.
Strong experience in vendor negotiation and stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated success in delivering Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
