This position offers a unique opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge media and fabrication tools, assist in instructional support, and help shape the library's digital and physical presence.
Essential Job Duties * Assist the Digital Media & Emerging Technologies Librarian with class preparation, project support, and organizing equipment after instructional use.
* Support 3D printing and scanning operations, including file setup, printer maintenance, and active monitoring during print jobs.
* Help capture and edit photo and video content for internal use, website updates, and social media.
* Collaborate on the design, creation, and curation of engaging displays throughout the library.
Education and Experience Undergraduate degree.
No specific major required, but candidates with related experience or interest in digital media, design, library science, or technology are encouraged to apply.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities * Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with a diverse campus community.
* Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite-particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and audio editing tools.
* Familiarity with data preservation practices, including scanning, backup, and data retrieval.
* Professional demeanor with the ability to represent the library courteously.
* Capacity to track, record, and report on lab usage by students and faculty.
