Electrical/Controls Maintenance Technician

Location: Lake Odessa, MI

Type: Full-Time Shift: 2nd

Compensation: Up to $41.00/hour

Sign-on Bonus: $5,000

Key Responsibilities

Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.

Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, analog/digital control systems, and motor controls.

Perform equipment inspections, diagnose faults, and implement improvements.

Support safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification.

Interpret and work from engineering documents (blueprints, schematics, P&IDs).

Partner with supervisors and production to prioritize and execute maintenance plans.

Complete documentation including work orders, daily pass-downs, and closeout reports.

Operate and maintain electronic control systems, plant instrumentation, and data collection tools.

Contribute to developing preventative maintenance programs for control systems.Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Electrical/Maintenance Journeyman License - State of Michigan

3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience

Proficiency in reading/interpreting blueprints, P&IDs, and wiring schematics

Experience with PLC troubleshooting (preferably Allen-Bradley) and ladder logic

Willingness to join Hazmat team and work off-shifts/weekends if required

Strong electrical & mechanical aptitude

Working knowledge of standard test/calibration equipment

Basic computer skills and eagerness to learn systems like SAPPreferred Skills

Experience in food processing/manufacturing environments

Ability to use RTD calibrators, digital multimeters, and 4-20 mA units

Advanced troubleshooting in 480 VAC 3-phase, 120 VAC, and 24VDC systems

Knowledge of serial communications and troubleshooting ASCII devices

Self-starter with strong problem-solving and prioritization skillsWhat's In It for You?
