TITLE: NOC Supervisor 2nd Shift (5% Shift differential applies)
REPORTING TO: NOC Manager
LOCATION: Charlotte, NC
JOB PURPOSE: The NOC Supervisor position will be a hands-on technical supervisor to provide guidance and support for a team of NOC engineers. The Supervisor will be the technical subject matter expert at times to perform NOC Engineer duties. He/She will ensure NOC workload is distributed and resolved in a timely manner in order to meet SLA requirements.
REPONSIBLITIES:
Provide leadership and technical support for any Data or Voice related troubles
Perform escalations to Conterra's partners promptly to ensure problem resolution
Provide updates to Operations leaders on any outages or projects
Troubleshoot network (Data & Voice) incidents in a timely fashion
Supervise and approve change management requests and implementation
Ensure staffing is adequate for their shift
Supervise technical projects to meet stringent deadlines
Communicate to NOC staff any changes in processes and procedures
Suggests improvement initiatives for Conterra's NOC
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Networking experience in a NOC or Enterprise support role
Experience with network monitoring tools
Must have experience with Voice, Data, Microwave and ACL's
Experience with telnet, SSH, RDP, and CLI interfaces
Experience with supervising outages and escalations in a support role
Experience with supervising a team in a support role
Must have good customer service and organizational skills
Willing to be part of the main support during natural disasters
Strong analytical thinker to gather information and prioritize severity levels
Willingness to learn new technologies with minimal management
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or G.E.D; BS/BA preferred
CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Security+
Cisco CCNA (strongly prefer CCNP)
