Moelis & Company’s Analysts are expected to assume significant levels of responsibility requiring intellectual curiosity, leadership, and analytical aptitude. The day-to-day responsibilities of an Analyst include financial analysis and modelling, managing a team, preparing client presentations, and interacting with senior bankers and clients. A sophisticated level of interpersonal skill is required.
Our Equity Capital Markets (“ECM”) Analyst Programme will equip you with the fundamental skillset needed to thrive in ECM investment banking as well as enable you to develop valuable relationships with your peers. Following this, your two-year Programme will see you work with the EMEA ECM team on several deals across a variety of industries and transaction types such as IPOs, private placements and follow-on fundraises. There will be unparalleled access to the senior bankers in the team and across the firm, which will enable you to learn from industry leading corporate financiers and deepen your product expertise – putting you on the path to becoming a leading ECM investment banker.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides in-depth quantitative and qualitative financial analysis as it pertains to business, industry, and economic forecasting
Prepare marketing materials & slides for pitch decks
Supports senior managers in origination activities including (but not limited to): preparing screening IPO targets, keeping abreast of equity markets news flow to see potential trends and opportunities, as well as supporting on producing pitch documents – typically involving market updates/performance analysis, sector deep dives and strategic considerations for both corporates and investors
Support in tracking news / developments around the team’s core IPO, private placement, and follow-on targets
Involved in IPO and broader fundraising execution activities, including responsibilities such as data gathering, analysis and material preparation, joining transaction calls as well as taking responsibility for managing processes such as preparing deal documentation and client presentations
Gathers and processes market share data and shareholder and investor profiles
Required Skills & Experience
Results driven and able to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines
Excellent analytical, presentation and numerical skills that put you at ease with financial data
Proven team player who can effectively interact with a wide variety of internal groups and clients
Strong multi-tasking skills
Strong Microsoft Office suite (Excel and PowerPoint a must, as well as Outlook capabilities) and financial reporting understanding
Interest in financial markets
Requirements:
Education:
Minimum A-Levels Results of AAB (or equivalent)
Predicted a minimum of a 2.1 (or equivalent)
Must graduate between December 2024 - July 2025
Any degree discipline
Being fluent in an additional European language would be desirable, but not a requirement
