Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. Based out of our Florida offices, you will provide on-site installation, repair, and maintenance of espresso, coffee, and beverage equipment. This is a field-based role requiring independence, reliability, and strong problem-solving skills, with occasional travel for cruise ship service calls or special project installations.
The ideal candidate is prompt, dependable, has superior technical support skills, and communicates effectively. A proven track record of customer satisfaction and a passion for the coffee industry are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain espresso machines, coffee brewers, grinders, and other beverage equipment.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues (mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic).
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and system calibrations.
Provide operational training to equipment users and guide them on proper use.
Maintain accurate service records, including parts used and repairs completed.
Suggest equipment upgrades while managing service inventory, including vehicles.
Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and ensure equipment is properly stocked.
Support customers proactively and resolve requests or concerns promptly.
Participate in on-call rotation, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Travel occasionally for service calls, training, or special projects.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or technical certification preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on technical experience with espresso, coffee, and beverage equipment.
Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aptitude; ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
Prior field service experience; barista or coffee industry experience is a plus.
Ability to build strong customer relationships and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in the field.
Physically capable of lifting 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record; valid passport required.
Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic tools, and multimeters.
Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) encouraged to apply.
Knowledge of safety requirements and proper handling of equipment.
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
