Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a PICU RN with an active OH or compact license, EPIC experience, and flexibility to float to various units for an 8-week holiday assignment.
Responsibilities
Work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in a hospital setting
Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
Assignment length is 8 weeks, with required coverage through the New Year holiday
Must be willing to float to NICU, Cardiovascular PICU, Emergency Department, stepdown, and medical-surgical units as needed
Uses the EPIC EMR system and prior experience is required
Responsibilities include providing critical care to pediatric patients and floating as assigned to related units
Holiday coverage through the New Year is a requirement for this position
First time travelers may be considered on a case-by-case basis and are typically expected to have more than 3 years of experience
Strict punctuality and attendance expectations are enforced
No call or on-call requirements
Travelers must be prepared to adapt to a dynamic team environment with frequent assignment changes
Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
Minimum of 2 years of pediatric ICU RN experience strongly preferred
EPIC EMR experience required
At least two professional references, with at least one from a manager or supervisor
Experience in Level 1 Trauma settings preferred, especially for first-time travelers
Candidates cannot have worked as a permanent employee at this facility for at least 2 years
No local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be considered
