Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

Location: Sioux City, Iowa (51104) – Iowa nursing jobs

Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Unit: Nursing Float Pool (Med/Surg Telemetry)

Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week

Hours per Week: 36

Contract Duration: 5 weeks (10/26/2025 – 11/30/2025)

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

EMR System: EPIC

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,880 - $2,020 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience

At least 1 completed travel nursing contract

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or Compact state

BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required

Willingness to float to other Medical-Surgical units as needed

Ability to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)

Submission of work history/resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, required certifications, and 1 supervisory reference

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in Med/Surg Telemetry and float units

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR system

Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
