Travel Nursing Job Details
Location: Sioux City, IA (Zip: 51101)
Unit: 6SW Post Critical - Cardiac Stepdown
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/10/2025 – End: 2/9/2026)
Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Electronic Medical Record: Cerner Powerchart
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac stepdown nursing experience
At least 1 completed travel nurse contract
Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
Proficient in cardiac care, clinical support, and drip titration
Ability to float within the same discipline across Sioux City healthcare campuses
Must reside more than 50 miles from Sioux City market
Submission of work history/resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, required certifications, and one supervisory reference
Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including CHF, cardiac angiogram pre/post care, ablation, pacemaker, TEE, cardioversion, stroke, and cardiac drips management
Administer and titrate cardiac drips (Nitro, Amiodarone, Cardiazem, Nirdipine, Heparin, Lidocaine)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Accurately document patient care using Cerner Powerchart EMR
Participate in unit activities, including charge nurse and precepting responsibilities as needed
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Work required winter holidays (2 of 3: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
