Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a RN with an OH or compact license for an 8-week Pediatric ICU night shift assignment requiring Epic experience and floating to multiple units.
Responsibilities
Work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) within a hospital setting
Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
Assignment length is 8 weeks during the holiday season
May float to NICU, CV PICU, Emergency Department, stepdown, and med/surg units as needed
Epic EMR experience required
No on-call requirements
Role includes providing bedside care, medication administration, and responding to emergencies in the PICU and floated departments
Strict adherence to attendance and tardiness policies is required
Must comply with floating expectations to various pediatric departments
No holiday RTO (requested time off) will be approved for this contract
First-time travelers reviewed for consideration based on experience
Returning travelers subject to restrictions on previous employment
Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
At least 2 years of PICU experience highly preferred
Epic EMR experience required
Two professional references required, including one manager or supervisor
First-time travelers considered on a case by case basis, typically requires 3+ years of experience and Level 1 Trauma background
Candidates cannot have worked as a perm employee for the health system in the last 2 years
No local candidates accepted; must live more than 60 miles from the facility
