Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring an OH or compact license and strong pediatric critical care skills.

Responsibilities

Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Day shifts, 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:30

Floating required to NICU, CV PICU, Emergency Dept, stepdown, and med-surg units as needed

Care for a variety of pediatric patients in a Level 1 Trauma setting

EPIC EMR is used and experience is required

No locals allowed; must live more than 60 miles from the facility

This is an 8-week holiday position with no RTO (requests for time off) permitted

First time travelers may be considered if they meet experience criteria

Must be fully prepared and willing to float to different units based on assignment

Professional conduct and punctuality are strictly enforced

Holiday coverage is required during the assignment

Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license in hand

Current and unexpired BLS certification required

Minimum of 2 years PICU experience strongly preferred

Must have EPIC EMR experience

References required: two, with at least one from a manager or supervisor

Level 1 Trauma experience highly preferred for candidates with less travel experience

Cannot have been a permanent employee of the facility within the past 2 years
