Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Iowa requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting

Treat a diverse patient population with urgent and emergent health needs

Uses Epic for electronic medical records documentation

Candidates must be prepared to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)

Only 1 day of requested time off allowed between November 26-30 and December 23-January 2, regardless of holiday assignments

First-time travelers will not be considered

Returning employees may not be considered if employed at the facility within the last 12 months

Epic experience is preferred but not required

Requirements

Active IA or compact RN license required at the time of consideration or proof of application for compliance process

Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required

At least 1 previous travel contract completed

Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS, and TNCC

All certifications must be current at the time of consideration

One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the last 2 years required
