Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry position on an Observation Unit, requiring a WV or compact RN license and strong MS/Tele/PCU/stepdown experience.
Responsibilities
Work in the Observation Unit with a Medical Surgical/Telemetry patient population
Patient ratios typically range from 1:5 to 1:6, subject to census fluctuations
Uses Meditech EMR system
36 hours one week and 48 hours the following week (biweekly rotation), with shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
Orientation provided bi-weekly
No block scheduling offered
Will provide nursing care for adult patients in an observation setting
Travel pairs are not permitted
No local candidates accepted due to strict radius rule
Orientation occurs bi-weekly prior to unit start
Requirements
Active WV or compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Telemetry/PCU/stepdown experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required (AHA only)
Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility for consideration
Meditech EMR experience required
