Commercial Electrician (New Construction)

Job Description

PRT-Staffing is hiring immediately for experienced Commercial Electricians for long-term, new construction projects in the Columbus area. We are seeking skilled "mechanics" with 5+ years of experience to work with one of Central Ohio's largest and most respected electrical contractors.

This is a fast-paced role focused on large-scale commercial and industrial new builds. We are looking for electricians who can read blueprints, work independently, and take pride in their craft.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagrams.

Bend and install conduit, including EMT and Rigid (experience with hydraulic benders is a major plus).

Pull and terminate wire for large feeders and branch circuits.

Install major electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and large distribution panels.

Install lighting, fixtures, devices, and support for fire alarm and low-voltage systems.

What We're Looking For:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial or industrial electrical field.

A strong ability to read and work from blueprints is required.

Proficiency in running and bending conduit.

Must have your own professional hand tools and reliable transportation.

A commitment to job site safety (OSHA 10 or 30 is highly preferred).
