As we continue to grow, we're seeking an IT Systems Support Specialist to strengthen our technology backbone and support our restaurants' daily operations.Position Overview

The IT Systems Support Specialist is a hands-on technical role responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving the restaurant and corporate technology systems that keep our operations running smoothly. This position focuses heavily on Point-of-Sale (POS) platforms, integrated restaurant technologies, and end-user support - ensuring reliable, efficient, and secure technology across all locations.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in restaurant or hospitality technology, thrives in fast-paced environments, and takes pride in solving technical problems with professionalism and precision.Key Responsibilities

System Support & Troubleshooting

Serve as the primary point of contact for IT helpdesk escalations from restaurant managers and corporate staff. • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for POS systems (e.g., Aloha, Toast) and integrated platforms such as loyalty programs, KDS, online ordering, and payment gateways. • Diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and software issues across restaurant and corporate environments. • Document, track, and monitor technical incidents to ensure timely resolutions.

Restaurant Technology Maintenance

Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of restaurant technology, including POS terminals, kitchen displays, tablets, printers, VoIP systems, and audiovisual setups. • Perform regular travel to restaurant locations for equipment installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting. • Support integrated third-party platforms including scheduling, loyalty, and reporting tools. • Partner with vendors for specialized repairs and service escalations.

Network & Infrastructure

Support local area networks (LAN) and connectivity for all restaurant sites. • Coordinate with internal and external partners to maintain uptime for critical systems. • Assist with inventory tracking of IT assets, equipment, and software licensing.

Training & User Support

Provide clear, friendly, and effective technical assistance to restaurant managers and team members. • Train store-level leaders on new technologies and best practices for system use and troubleshooting. • Develop and maintain easy-to-follow documentation and guides for store-level teams.Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of IT support experience, ideally within the restaurant or hospitality industry.

Proven experience supporting Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, including NCR Aloha, and integrated restaurant technologies.

Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, and mobile device management.

Basic understanding of network administration, cabling, routers, switches, and wireless systems.

Experience with audio/visual or guest-facing media systems preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to support users with varying technical proficiency.

Self-starter capable of working independently in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform on-site installations.

Willingness to travel between locations (up to 25%) and participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support.Work Environment & Reporting

Hybrid position based out of the corporate office in Columbus, OH.

Reports to the Director of Business Support Services.

Regular travel required to restaurant locations across Ohio and Indiana.Compensation & Benefits
