Job Description
A school-based educational program is seeking a Substitute Paraprofessional to provide temporary instructional and behavioral support for students. This role ensures continuity of learning and a safe, structured environment during staff absences.
Responsibilities / Duties:
Assist teachers with classroom instruction, supervision, and daily learning activities
Provide individualized or small-group support to students with academic or behavioral needs
Implement strategies outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or behavior plans
Monitor and document student progress, participation, and behavior
Support classroom transitions, routines, and organization
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and safety protocols
Participate in training or complete additional school fingerprinting as required
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary coursework in education preferred
Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or working with children preferred
Strong communication, patience, and adaptability in diverse classroom settings
Dependable and able to work flexible substitute assignments
Must be willing to complete required school fingerprinting prior to assignment

 Hours are not guaranteed and shifts will be offered on an as-needed basis according to school needs.
Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $48.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
Full-time
