About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team focused on the design, development, and validation of steering and suspension systems for passenger vehicles. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing mechanical design and system integration activities across chassis-related components, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in electronics, software, and vehicle dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the mechanical design and development of steering or suspension components from concept to production.

Oversee system-level integration involving mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic interfaces.

Conduct FEA, tolerance, and design validation analysis to meet performance, durability, and safety requirements.

Collaborate with software and controls engineers to ensure mechanical systems align with embedded control strategies and system functionality.

Support DFMEA, design reviews, and release documentation within automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 26262 preferred).

Contribute to system optimization for vehicle dynamics, NVH, and ride comfort.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

5–10+ years of experience in automotive steering or suspension system development (Tier 1 or OEM preferred).

Strong understanding of vehicle chassis systems, mechanical design principles, and system architecture.

Experience with system modelling or simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, AMESim, Adams/Car) and CAD (CATIA, NX, or similar).

Familiarity with software-integrated systems or mechatronic steering/suspension technologies (EPS, active suspension, etc.).

Strong communication skills in English; German language skills advantageous.

Ability to work in a cross-functional, international environment with both mechanical and software teams.
