Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for an immediate locums assignment. This is a licensable opportunity physicians without a current WI license are welcome to apply. Position Highlights

Schedule: Mon Fri, 8a 5p No call

Duties: Mix of clinic + procedures Avg. procedures/day

Procedures Required: Upper & lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy (with biopsy/polyp removal), small bowel biopsy, PEG placement

Support: APCs in clinic, 3 new endo suites, Epic EMR

Duration: Ongoing (open-ended need due to long-term vacancy)

Schedule & Practice Setting:

Full-time schedule: 8am 5pm, Monday Friday

Mix of clinic and procedures, with no call required

Preference for 1 day clinic / 4 procedure days per week (flexible)

Average procedures per day with 3 newly built endoscopy suites and highly skilled staff

Inpatient census: patients on the medical service, with 3 4 in ICU/IMCU

APC support available in clinic

EMR: Epic

Day 1 orientation with EPIC support

Travel and lodging provided (nearest airport: Central Wisconsin CWA)

Required Procedures:

Upper GI Endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration, varices injection)

Small bowel biopsy

Lower GI endoscopy (flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy/polyp removal)

PEG tube placement

(ERCP & EUS not required not performed at this facility)

Requirements:

Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Fellowship required)

ACLS and BLS certifications required

Ability to obtain Wisconsin medical license (if not already held)
