Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee key financial operations and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes. This role requires a strong background in property accounting and a proven ability to lead and develop teams. Based in Memphis, Tennessee, the position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved.

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

• Coordinate and support financial statement audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.

• Manage journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all accounting transactions.

• Utilize Yardi property management software to streamline financial processes and reporting.

• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering growth and skill development.

• Support commercial property management activities by providing accurate financial data and insights.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices.• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

• Strong expertise in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.

• Proficiency in Yardi property management software is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.

• Solid understanding of commercial property accounting principles and practices.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
