Our client, an architectural and structural engineering firm, is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Structural or Building Science Engineer to report out of their Whitby office. This is a permanent, full-time position, with hybrid flexibility, paying $75-125k, or more, depending on experience, plus benefits, paid vacation and a performance-based bonus program.

We expect this position to be a prominent technical role working with a diverse team to produce quality engineering designs and documents. We expect the role will include the following:

• Act as lead technical design engineer on a diverse set of projects and framing types.

• Coordination with both internal disciplines (Architecture and/or Project Management) as well as external vendors for other disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering.

• Provide a level of technical leadership and expertise to assigned Technologists as well as EITs or

• more Junior Engineering staff.

• Develop and advance structural engineering technical standards within the office.

• Draft select proposals along with more Senior Staff and the firm’s Principals.

• Act as primary project manager on assigned projects from time to time.

• Author technical reports or communications to clients, contractors and/or other stakeholders.

• Utilize computer software modelling and provide quality control reviews of engineering designs.

• Provide Construction Administration services on both structural engineering scopes, or for select projects as Prime Consultant representing the firm as the main point of contact.
