Work Schedule

Day shift with occasional overtime and weekend work

Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and accuracy

Duties

Process weekly and monthly payroll with strict accuracy and timelines

Manage bonuses, off-cycle payments, and year-end activities (T4s, government remittances)

Support and maintain the Kronos timekeeping system

Administer garnishments and ROEs per legislative requirements

Assist associates at the payroll help desk and resolve inquiries

Prepare payroll documentation and support pension and benefits activities, letters of employment and third-party income requests, etc.

Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

College diploma or university degree in Business Administration or Finance

Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or willingness to obtain

Minimum 2 years of experience processing high-volume payroll

Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Kronos

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across all levels

Solid understanding of payroll processes, principles, and applicable legislation

High degree of accuracy and strong numerical aptitude

Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Preferred Experience

PeopleSoft HRMS experience

National Payroll Institute (NPI) designation, or willingness to work towards.

Knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance

Ability to facilitate or present to large groups
