Regional Technical Manager – Concrete North

Location: Hybrid – Based from any suitable Heidelberg Materials site within the North Region (M62 Corridor, North East/West, Scotland)

Are you ready to lead technical excellence across the North? Heidelberg Materials UK is looking for a dynamic Regional Technical Manager Concrete to drive innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction in our concrete operations.

As part of our Technical UK team, you’ll lead a regional technical unit, ensuring robust quality management, cost efficiency, and the development of value-added products. This is a high-impact role with real scope to shape the future of concrete in the region.

What you’ll be doing:

Leading and developing a high-performing regional technical team

Driving product innovation, quality assurance, and cost control

Supporting customers with expert technical guidance

Ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal systems

Collaborating across business lines to implement national initiatives

Provide technical training for new department employees and the wider business as directed.

Proactively identify areas of quality improvement and communicate to area management.

What we’re looking for:

Proven leadership in technical roles within construction materials

Strong knowledge of concrete mix design, cement, aggregates, and RMC

Analytical mindset with excellent IT and reporting skills

A customer-focused approach with a passion for continuous improvement

Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience

Construction material product knowledge

Quality assurance or similar experience

Technical experience with evidence of success in a customer facing role
