Location: Remote, or hybrid in Danville, VA

Salary: $60-80k + benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Truss Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing roof and floor trusses, ensuring that all designs meet industry standards and client specifications. This role requires proficiency in design software and a strong understanding of truss design principles.

Key Responsibilities

Create and develop detailed truss designs for residential and commercial projects.

Utilize design software to produce accurate and efficient truss layouts.

Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements.

Review and modify existing truss designs based on client feedback or structural analysis.

Prepare and present design proposals to clients and project stakeholders.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associates degree in Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Proven experience in truss design and familiarity with design software (Mitek preferred).

Strong understanding of building codes and structural analysis principles.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
