The Mathematics TDSI is a key instructional leader focused on enhancing math instruction, improving student achievement, and supporting teacher growth. This role is designed to strengthen instructional practices through coaching, facilitate collaboration through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and provide targeted interventions for students needing additional math support. With 70% of the role dedicated to coaching, the Interventionist will engage in classroom observations, feedback cycles, and direct modeling of high-impact math instruction. An additional 20% will focus on PLC collaboration, ensuring alignment of best practices and instructional strategies, while 10% will involve direct student intervention for struggling learners.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field
Valid Texas teaching credentials in Mathematics or a related area (required)
Minimum 3-5 years of classroom teaching experience with demonstrated student success
Job Summary:
Instructional Coaching (70%)
• Conduct classroom observations to assess instructional effectiveness and provide actionable
feedback.
• Model effective math instructional strategies to enhance teacher practice.
• Support teachers in differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching to help teachers refine lesson planning and
delivery.
• Analyze student performance data to inform teacher coaching and instructional
adjustments.
• Assist teachers in implementing engaging, hands-on, and inquiry-based math instruction.
• Guide educators in best practices for math problem-solving, conceptual understanding, and
procedural fluency.
Professional Learning Community (PLC) Collaboration (20%)
• Facilitate data-driven discussions in PLCs to refine instructional approaches.
• Collaborate with teachers to align instruction with state standards and district
initiatives.
• Support the integration of math best practices, technology, and real-world
applications.
• Lead collaborative planning sessions focused on math discourse, student engagement, and
formative assessment strategies.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among staff.
Direct Student Interventions (10%)
• Identify students in need of additional math intervention through data analysis and teacher
input.
• Implement targeted small-group or one-on-one interventions for struggling learners.
• Use research-based intervention strategies to address math misconceptions and close learning
gaps.
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to ensure growth and success.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create individualized learning plans for
students.
Other:
Perform any and all duties as assigned.

Salary
$62,810 - $74,315
• Salary determination will be based on verified relevant work experience
• Salary will be adjusted to the start date
Program Stipend:
• Stipends include additional days during the program academic year as outlined in the stipend agreement
