Pipeline Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Power Generation Mega-Project Location: Just East of Pittsburgh, PA 100% On Site Contract role: 2-5 years with benefits Summary BlackRock Resources is staffing for one of the largest energy and infrastructure redevelopment projects in the United States.

We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Subject Matter Expert (SME) with expertise in pipeline construction management, inspection, and welding oversight to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance throughout project execution.

This transformative initiative includes large-scale gas-fired power generation and the supporting infrastructure required for long-term operational success.

Role Overview The Pipeline SME will provide technical leadership and oversight for all pipeline-related construction activities, including installation, inspection, and welding.

The role will require hands-on expertise in pipeline construction management and the ability to act as an inspector and/or certified welding inspector (CWI). The successful candidate will bring extensive experience supporting power plants and power generation projects in a mega-project environment.

Key Responsibilities * Provide oversight and leadership for all pipeline construction activities, from planning to commissioning.

* Manage and monitor contractors, inspectors, and welding crews to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to standards.

* Conduct inspections of pipeline installation, welding, and integrity testing.

* Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental requirements, and pipeline construction codes/regulations.

* Oversee material handling, welding procedures, and pressure testing activities.

* Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project leadership teams to resolve pipeline-related challenges.

* Provide technical mentorship and guidance to inspectors and construction teams.

Qualifications * 10+ years of experience in pipeline construction management and inspection, ideally within the power generation or energy infrastructure sector.

* Strong knowledge of pipeline construction standards, welding procedures, and inspection requirements.

* CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification required * Solid experience supporting simple cycle, combined cycle, and/or reciprocating engine facilities.

* Mega-projects experience ($1B+ scale) preferred.

* Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to interface across multidisciplinary teams.
