Senior Manager, Food Safety & Quality
LaSalle Network is hiring on behalf of one of the largest and most recognized companies in the global frozen food industry. They are seeking a Senior Manager, Food Safety & Quality to manage their Plover, WI team. The Senior Manager, Food Safety & Quality will have the opportunity to lead a tenured food safety team and oversee implementation and management of all Food Safety Quality Assurance programs and activities. The ideal candidate will be a strong manager of people and bring proven food quality and safety experience in a food or consumer goods manufacturing environment. This position is located in Plover, WI and offers relocation services.
Senior Manager, Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities:
Provide expertise and support to ensure compliance to regional and global requirements, regulatory requirements, product quality and food safety
Manage a staff of multiple food safety specialists
Direct and supervise the development, implementation and administration of food safety quality activities
Manage quality and food safety incidents at the site level
Promote Food Safety and quality awareness and ownership in the factory and internal/external warehouse
Ensure compliance of the audit programs for internal and external audits i.e. FSSC 22000/BRC/SQF, KEFSQ, etc.
Identify and apply "Standard Practices" within the facility or from the broader network
Assist in the development and execution of FSQ training programs to ensure proper training for plant personnel
Senior Manager, Food Safety & Quality Requirements:
B.S. in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology or similar scientific discipline
5+ years Quality Management experience in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry
5+ years of people management experience
Must have strong knowledge and understanding of food safety / HACCP, GMPs, Allergen Controls, Sanitary design/controls, pest control, basic food regulations, specifications, analytical and microbiological lab methods desired and basic food technology
Knowledge of Quality systems and Root cause analysis
Knowledge of Micro and Hygiene/Sanitation monitoring
Auditing and assessment skills
Understanding of basic food safety principles
FSMA, PCQI, GFSI certifications preferred
