Summary:

The Quality System Engineer I, is responsible for ensuring the Organization meets the established goals, KPI's, maintains compliance to the QMS (Quality management system) thru audit, communication, and collaboration with cross functional teams and Management. Verifying quality standards in accordance with the requirements of the Organization. Communicate effectively within all levels of organization to discuss and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

Perform Data Analysis and issue reports for the Quality Division

Lead and or assist the Customer New Model Development approval process and communicate between cross functional teams and Customer

Work with cross functional Teams to expediate compliance resolution and prevention recurrence

Window person to the Global Team to share information within the organization.

Applied knowledge of Quality Systems, Tools and Documentation in the Manufacturing environment

Lead IATF16949 Certification

Process documentation management

Schedule and perform internal audits and support organization quality standard compliance

Communicate KPI, daily/weekly reports to Management and cross functional teams

Ensure compliance with Health/Safety/Environmental/and Fire regulations.

Champion a work environment focused on quality, communication, collaboration, integration, and team collaboration.

Maintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S standards:

Sort, Set in, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

Perform various other duties and projects as assigned

Education / Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology

0 to 3+ years of experience in manufacturing related job or equivalent relevant experience

Experience in a Quality or Manufacturing role in a fast paced environment, including internship or co-op experience is a plus

Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of IAFT 16949 standards a plus

Understanding of control plans, Critical to Quality (CTQ), Capable to Promise (CTP), and core tools of the automotive industry a plus

Capability to find improvement ideas for increased component yield and comprehensive inspections

Knowledge of automated equipment troubleshooting and production analysis a plus

Battery production related knowledge a plus

Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and technical presentations

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Minitab programs a plus

Strong self-motivation and desire to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Ability to multitask and solve complex problems

Bilingual (Korean/English) or Multilingual (Korean/English/Japanese) proficiency a plus

Additional Requirements:

Comply with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements

Able to work in both office and manufacturing environments

Hands-on support of equipment

Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations

Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary

This role requires up to 20% of travel (domestic and/or international)
