Pipe Foreman
Position Overview
The Pipe Foreman will oversee and manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems for utility projects. This role requires strong leadership skills to guide a crew of operators and laborers, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the pipe crew during installation and repair projects.
Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed on the job site.
Plan daily operations, including scheduling tasks and allocating resources effectively.
Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.
Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques and safety practices.
Communicate effectively with project managers, other trades, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment operated.Qualifications
Proven experience as a Pipe Foreman or in a similar supervisory role in heavy construction.
Strong knowledge of underground utility installation, particularly water and sewer systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in construction environments.
Valid drivers license and ability to operate heavy machinery.
