Janitor

Location: Portlethen Academy, Burntland Road, AB12 4QL

Working hours: Monday-Friday between 07:00-22:00 and very second Sunday 08:00-17:00 - (Rotating shift patterns) 37 Hours per week

Contract: Permanent - Full Time

Hourly Rate: £13.40 P/H

Your new role

What you’ll do:

Carrying out routine and ad-hoc janitorial duties in support of all on site personnel to ensure compliance with contract conditions

Carrying out planned janitorial maintenance duties in accordance with agreed timescales and procedures and undertake any property maintenance work within the post holder’s range of competence

Supervising, developing and monitoring of all cleaning staff to ensure cleaning standards are maintained in accordance with contract conditions and agreed quality management procedures

Maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all the school’s energy systems in accordance with agreed contract conditions

Providing support and assistance to any other sites as directed by the Lead Janitor or Facilities Manager

What you’ll need:

Awareness of Health & Safety issues and the need for safe methods of working

Awareness of COSHH regulations

The successful candidate will require a PVG/Disclosure Check prior to starting in the role.
