Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive DBA (SQL server) with Tableau Administrator to manage and optimize our Tableau environment within the healthcare sector. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of Tableau Server/Tableau Cloud, supporting clinical and operational teams, and enabling data-driven decision-making while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Data Base Administrator of SQL Server

Install, configure, and maintain SQL server and Tableau Server/Tableau Cloud

Monitor system performance, usage, and capacity planning.

Manage upgrades, patches, and backups.

Secondary Skill:

Have worked on BI and Analytics reporting

Create and manage user accounts, groups, and roles.

Devops experience:

Implement and enforce access controls and data governance policies

Integrate with identity providers (e.g., Active Directory, SAML).

General Skill:

Oversee publishing and organization of dashboards and data sources.

Manage extract refresh schedules and live data connections.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and freshness from data sources (e.g., EHR, EMR systems).

Analyze and optimize dashboard performance.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field.

- 3+ years of experience administering Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud.

- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and Tableau best practices.

- Experience with SQL and connecting Tableau to various data sources.

- Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.

- Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HL7).

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications

-DBA SQL Server Certified

Tableau Desktop Certified Associate or Professional. (optional)

- Tableau Server Certified Associate. (optional)

- Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) or similar healthcare data certification. (optional)
