Job Description
Day to Day:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will manage a team of 2–5 electrical engineers while handling your own projects and workload. This includes directing junior engineers and serving as the Engineer of Record, ensuring all designs meet building codes and safety standards. The role involves approximately 15–20% travel for day trips or occasional overnight stays, primarily in the Midwest but with projects across the country. All travel expenses, including meals and transportation, are covered. You will work on government-funded projects, requiring strict compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
• Handling of own projects, managing workload and tasks
• Professionalism: timeliness, ensuring quality work
• Responsible for 2-5 direct reports, junior electrical engineers
• Internal budget management
• Working on government funded projects such as post office factories, fire stations, courthouses, military projects, electric vehicle charging stations, water treatment plants, vehicle maintenance facilities, etc.
Stamping projects to verify drawings meet building guidelines and safety standard
