Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented File Clerk to join our team in Laplace, Louisiana. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in maintaining organized and efficient filing systems for a local office. Responsibilities:
• Organize and maintain physical and digital files to ensure accessibility and proper storage.
• Process and store file boxes and other office documents according to established protocols.
• Manage clerical tasks, including sorting correspondence and handling chart and graph creation.
• Utilize software tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Epic Software, and IBM AS/400 to manage file-related tasks.
• Answer incoming calls and provide assistance or transfer calls to the appropriate department.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all filing systems are up-to-date and compliant with company standards.
• Perform general office duties, including data entry and maintaining records.
• Assist in generating reports and summaries when required.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information while managing files.
• Support other administrative tasks as needed to optimize workflow.• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and other relevant software applications.
• Familiarity with systems such as IBM AS/400, Epic Software, and ADP Financial Services.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle clerical duties with accuracy and efficiency.
• Experience in managing file boxes and maintaining filing systems.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to handle inbound calls professionally.
• Knowledge of creating and managing charts, graphs, and reports.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
