Cibes Symmetry is currently recruiting for Panel Fabrication at our Peoria, IL Facility.

This is a 1st shift position: 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays for a few hours depending on our workload.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Task

The incumbent fabricates metal pieces by cutting and bending pieces according to work order requirements. The incumbent then assembles pieces according to schematics, blueprints, or SOPs

Duties and Responsibilities

Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine unit or piece(s) to be built

Program, set up, and operate fabricating machines, such as brake press, rolls, shears, grinders, mills, cold saws, punches, and drill presses, to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble metal components

Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems

Use visual inspection techniques to verify quality of product

Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications, using rulers and measuring tapes

Assist in troubleshooting efficiency and effectiveness

Maintain a clean, safe work area free of foreign materials

Participate in training and cross-training efforts as needed

Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS

Metal fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment

Ability to read written procedures and understand work orders and blueprints

Ability to use the correct tool for the task

High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred but not required

QUALIFICATIONS

Demonstrated high level of quality in workmanship

Basic math, reading, and reasoning skills

Ability to communicate effectively, written and oral

Demonstrated knowledge and use of the above mentioned tools

Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Demonstrated multi-tasking ability to respond to manufacturing needs

High attention to detail; ability to visually inspect and measure parts

Ability to work independently or with a team

This position is located in an industrial/production environment, with exposure to:

Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arms length, stoop, kneel, and crouch

Regularly required to stand for long periods of time

Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.

Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and balance

Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range

Noise levels typical of a manufacturing production environment

Finger Dexterity - The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.

Intermittent exposure to cold or heat

Ability to work in proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machinery

Pay depending on experience.
