Fiber Optic Trainer

We're seeking an experienced and safety-focused **Fiber Optic Trainer** to join our team in Hilliard, Ohio.

In this role, you'll deliver hands-on training to technicians in the installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks, as well as Fiber-to-the-Premise (FTTP) installation practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable professional who enjoys teaching and helping others develop technical proficiency in the rapidly growing fiber industry.

This is a six month commitment.

**Job Title:** Fiber Optic Trainer **Location:** Hilliard, OH **Pay Rate:** 35hr **Key Responsibilities** + Conduct classroom and field-based training on fiber optic installation, splicing, termination, and testing + Instruct trainees on FTTP installation procedures and customer premise standards + Teach and enforce safety best practices and compliance with industry regulations + Demonstrate proper use of fiber optic tools, equipment, and testing devices (OTDRs, power meters, etc.) + Assess trainee performance and provide constructive feedback and evaluations + Maintain accurate training records, documentation, and reporting + Collaborate with training leadership to continuously improve course content and delivery methods **Qualifications** + 3+ years of hands-on experience in fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing + Strong understanding of FTTP networks and related infrastructure + Prior training, teaching, or mentoring experience strongly preferred + Excellent communication and presentation skills + Strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality workmanship + Willingness to travel and work flexible shifts (including weekends as part of rotation) **Compensation & Travel** + Competitive hourly rate + Airfare, hotel accommodations, and rental car provided + $100/day per diem allowance (with receipts) **Why Join Us?** This is your chance to play a vital role in shaping the future of the nation's fiber workforce.
