Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a NY license, EPIC experience, and de-escalation training for a 43-bed Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
Position in a 43-bed hospital Emergency Department
Provides care to a diverse emergency patient population
Assigned patient ratio is typically 4:1, may fluctuate based on census
Shifts are 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Requires work every other weekend and holiday
Uses the EPIC electronic medical record system
Responsibilities include delivering emergency nursing care and maintaining safety through de-escalation techniques
Local candidates within 50 miles will be considered
Unit structure and team dynamic may vary based on shift and census
Facility may cancel up to 5 shifts per contract
Holiday and weekend coverage is required for this position
Requirements
Active NY RN license required
Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room RN experience
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
De-escalation training through Welle, CPI, or PMCS required
EPIC EMR experience required
Travel nursing experience required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
TNCC certification preferred
Candidates who have worked as staff at this facility within the past year or within the AMC network in the past six months are not eligible
Flu vaccination required with documentation for exemptions if applicable
