As a CNC Vertical Mill Machinist at WALCO Tool & Engineering in Romeoville, IL, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations. Your responsibilities will include setting up and operating CNC machining centers, conducting intricate contour milling, drilling, boring, and tapping of products with precision, and inspecting work to ensure top-notch quality. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in detecting any malfunctions and efficiently loading parts for seamless production processes. Applicants for this second shift position will have the option to choose between five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week, depending on availability. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

4+ years set-up and operation of CNC vertical equipment

Attention to detail

Ability to follow written work instructions

Experience working with various materials such as low carbon & alloy steels, cast iron castings, aluminum, etc.

Ability to maintain milling tolerances

Understanding of G and M codes

Ability to read and understand blueprints

Ability to physically lift/push/pull objects up to 40 lbs.Join our team today!
