Transaction Specialist Associate

Primary responsibilities for this entry level position include:

Entering vendor invoices (accounts payable)

Creating customer invoices (accounts receivable)

Posting of collections to accounts receivable

Normalizing data from other systems preparing for import

Importing transactions from other systems into accounting systems

Downloading, coding and categorization of bank and credit card transactions from financial institutions

Preparation of draft transaction reports for uncategorized transactions (for either client or supervisor)

New vendor setup

New Customer and Job set up

W-9 administration

1099 vendor report preparation for review by Accounting Manager

Monitoring and Maintenance of Client Accounting Emails Inbox

Monitoring and maintenance of electronic documents received from clients

Complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner as agreed upon in each Client Account Processes and Responsibilities

The background and experience of candidates interested in applying for the position should include:

Bachelor's degree

Education complimented by previous job experience in business occupation, data entry or data analysis fields

Proficiency adopting technology tools

Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of client assignments and tasks and work independently with supervision

Strong interpersonal skills

Critical thinking skills to address change and wide variety of work assignments and information received in order to effectively perform the job requirements

Team player with a positive – ‘can do’ approach

For first few weeks of work, a personal computer equipment (Mac or Windows) with current operating system may be required

Current Tech Stack (subject to change) includes:

Accounting Systems: Sage Intacct, Intuit QBO, Orchestra Software, Unanet

Communication: Asana, Front, Slack, Teams

Other: Bill.com, Tallie, Keeper Security, Front, AI Solutions

KBS CFO has been a fully virtual/remote work environment since its inception in 2004. We are supportive of both a full and part time work force, with the key requirement that the work be performed accurately and based on deadlines required for position. While the headquarters are in Kensington, Maryland, we have been hiring individuals working in other parts of the country. Our team is currently spread out among Maryland, Virginia, Texas, Illinois and Vermont
