A new opportunity has emerged to join KL Talent Solutions’ client’s regional transport team, contributing to the company’s ongoing success and growth in the liquid fuel distribution sector.
Our client is a privately owned liquid fuel distributor, operating from 16 regional depots and ranked as one of the largest oil distributors in mainland UK.
This vacancy is for a Driver Trainer and the ideal candidate will be looking to advance their career in driver training, playing a crucial role in supporting the regional transport team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for training new drivers, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and supporting driver performance and compliance.
The Role Will Involve: Implementation of Health, Safety & Environment policies New driver onboarding Conducting all driver training Post-accident and incident investigations Monitoring driver and vehicle performance Conducting driver briefings and toolbox talks Evaluating driver tachograph performance Ensuring driver working time compliance Performing offsite/unmanned site duties Providing traffic office support, including planning and administration functions Supporting unscheduled driver absences Conducting vehicle gate checks Key Competencies: Strong planning and project management skills Excellent time and diary management Ability to work under pressure while maintaining compliance Proficiency in IT systems Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration Ability to motivate and engage team members in understanding best practices and compliance Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance, law, and safety standards Strong conflict resolution and team-building skills Behaviours & Experience: Proven experience as a Driver Trainer C+E Licence Full ADR Licence PDP and Driver CPC qualifications SAFED, ROSPA, or equivalent training qualification Experience in multi-drop and bulk liquid fuel distribution Experience in vehicle and personal injury accident investigation Benefits: Holidays 20 days plus bank holidays Company pension scheme Death in service Health cash plan Annual discretionary bonus BUPA PMI (after 12 months continuous service) Employee Fuel Card (following completion of probation period) For more information about this role click the apply button today and we will be in contact to discuss the role further.
