Join QTC’s Advisory Division, where your expertise in data analytics, modelling, and visualisation will help solve complex challenges and deliver high-impact solutions for Queensland.

We’re hiring for multiple Associate roles across two role profiles – you may lean towards one, or both!

Data Analyst / Consultant

Analyse and model client data to uncover insights and strategies.

Integrate data from multiple sources to support decision-making.

Communicate complex findings in clear, actionable language.

Present insights to government stakeholders and senior leaders.

Collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality advisory outcomes.

Data Innovation Analyst

Build and refine data models using Excel, Power BI, and machine learning.

Simulate real-world scenarios using statistical and probability modelling.

Evaluate policy implications of data-driven insights.

Translate technical outputs into strategic recommendations.

Co-create innovative information products with interdisciplinary teams.

What you could bring:

Technical expertise

Proven experience building front-end reporting solutions using Power BI, including dashboard design, DAX, and data visualisation best practices.

Capability in ETL processes using tools such as Power Query, SQL, Python, or Azure Data Factory.

Demonstrated ability to work with large-scale datasets, ensuring performance optimisation and efficient data handling.

Familiarity with financial/project modelling, data modelling and relational database design principles.

Proficiency in synthesising data to reveal meaningful insights and communicate them effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

Tertiary qualification in business, economics, statistics, data/computational science or related fields.

1–5 years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or advisory roles (consulting experience highly regarded).

Strong report writing, analysis, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
