About the Role:
The Setup CNC Milling position will produce machined parts by safely operating and setting up a computer numeric control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and continuous improvement, interpreting blueprints, dimension, tolerances and producing high quality components to specifications.
Responsibilities:
Operate, and set up production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications.
Produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
Measure finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and specifications.
Maintain logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs adjustments and maintenance.
Perform 1st piece inspection and submit to QC.
Perform basic maintenance on machines.
Provide training and mentorship to Operators.
Change program or offsets to obtain final dimensions.
Basic level program writing capability which includes the ability to take a proven program and modify it, if necessary, for different machine or application.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Follow ISO 9001/ISO 13845 ANSI/AAMI/ISO standards.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
6 + months Experience setting up Mill-Turn / Multi turret CNC machines such as Mazak Integrex or Nakamura, or 5-axis mills is preferred.
Capable of creating programs for machines utilizing provided software.
Ability to read and develop technical drawings, models, and prints.
Computer operation skills.
Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints.
Knowledge of GD&T.
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
