Job Description

Join our high-impact, fast-paced Nursing Unit specializing in Trauma & General Surgery. The 7 East unit is recognized for its comprehensive care, offering a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of complex patient conditions. Nurses will engage in collaborative practices with various healthcare teams, enhancing both patient care and professional growth.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for multi-trauma, TBI, fractures, and general surgery patients.

Conduct complex wound care assessments and manage drains and devices.

Administer respiratory support and care for traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.

Maintain patient safety and assist in managing critical situations across step-down and floor levels.

Collaborate with care management, surgical and medical services, rehabilitation services, and perioperative services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Must have experience with complex wound care, drains, traumatic injuries, and respiratory support.

BLS certification is required.

Experience in managing chest tubes and understanding of cardiac rhythms is essential.
