Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with at least 2 years of inpatient and Modified Barium Swallow experience for a weekday acute care hospital assignment.
Responsibilities
Position is in an acute care hospital setting
Inpatient caseload with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
Requires experience with Modified Barium Swallow procedures
Monday through Friday, 0800–1600 schedule with AM shifts
Temporary 13-week assignment with potential for temp-to-perm
Hunter green scrubs required
Duties include evaluation, treatment, and monitoring of patients within speech pathology treatment plans
Modify therapy programs and goals as needed for optimal patient outcomes
Complete clinical documentation and billing in a timely manner
Educate patients, families, and staff on care and therapy goals
Supervise students and volunteers as required
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
Requirements
Active TX SLP license required if applicable
Current BLS certification (AHA only)
Minimum of 2 years of Speech-Language Pathology experience
Experience working with inpatient populations
Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow evaluations
Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year
Ability to provide two professional references
Flu vaccine is mandatory during flu season
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local travelers not accepted
