As an Expert within Process Analytical Sciences (PAS), you will play a pivotal role in our team, leveraging the full potential of Mass Spectrometry (MS) applications during process development. You will drive MS implementation for Biologics within our group including designing and performing studies with mass spectrometric methods such as multi-attribute method by LC-MS (MAM) and interpret results in the context of the target quality product profile during process development. Your expertise will help enhance our analytical set-up, contributing to our goal of becoming a state-of-the-art and robust analytical partner in a fully integrated and digital organization.
Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, plan, perform/supervise MS-related activities of assigned teams/ projects; understand and meet customer needs and ensure all own and team activities are aligned with overall drug development process
Support in development of testing strategies for process development using MAM and further MS-based methods
Conduct, evaluate and interpret results of analyses and draw relevant conclusions. Review and approve analysis, critically evaluate results and discuss conclusions together with other scientists
Contribute to all project and network strategy and drive the implementation; apply scientific and quality-related expertise to address complex R&D issues within a multifunctional project team
Communicate, address and solve complex problems within own area of responsibility
Provide scientific and technical guidance; actively drive knowledge exchange; present scientific/technical results internally and externally where appropriate
maintain and qualify equipment/infrastructure and manage operational aspects in lab as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
University degree (preferable MSc / PhD) in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering or other relevant natural science discipline
At least 3 years of working experience, preferably in pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology or other relevant industry.
Solid knowledge within the area of Analytical Development (strong understanding of mass spectrometry principles)
Excellent collaboration and communication skills (ability to effectively work with others to achieve common goals through communication, teamwork, and problem solving)
Proficiency in oral and written English; German beneficial
Strong proficiency in digital technologies, good knowledge of software and computer tools

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is €59,781.96 EUR/year (on a full-time basis).
We also offer a potential market oriented excess payment in line with your experience and qualifications.
